Absolutely excellent service from Let’s Get Coffee, they created an eCommerce website in an incredibly short timescale that continues to function without issues. Thoroughly recommend!

The Brief

They wanted to make their current website into an online store available only to trade account holders to purchase and view particular pages on the website, not the public.

What they needed:

  • Customers would register via the main Penny & Pepe webpage.

  • Users registered needed to be manually accepted by a team member.

  • Orders bought and paid for online.

  • Provide e-mail of VAT invoices.

  • Automatically inputs details into the order fulfilment tool (or have a high-level manual input).

  • The system print-outs delivery labels.

  • Link to distributor systems.

  • Distributor feedback goes into a system that provides tracking of the deliveries.

  • Customers get email feedback.

  • Trade customers can showcase their store on a store finder map for the public.

The Project

This project had a very tight deadline of only a couple of weeks. We enabled the current website to include products, then allowed users to create accounts and checkout.

Users could pay for products online and receive updates. To integrate into IFS Applications, we needed to create an XML file once a customer checked out. Then we uploaded it to a secure server, which the fulfilment system would check for daily.

The Shipping

With deadlines being so tight, we didn’t have time to create our own label and tracking system using delivery APIs. So we found a very useful tool which is cost-effective, called Ship Station.

This tool had a simple API we could use and implement quickly to transfer orders into the system. Once complete and this app would then handle the shipping labels and tracking via their chosen supplier.

On top of this tool, we could handle the packing from the warehouse. A simple click to print orders instantly.
